What a great week! Went by far too fast.
We were lucky enough to have our besties visit from SoCal.
Pregnancy is keeping me sleepless and massive, which is fine,
because it means he's growing and coming soon!
Can't believe I'm almost full term.

1. Primary Program, that's right, we're the new 4A CTR teachers. Again.
2. My birthday surprise day in Sacramento started with baked goods. Pumpkin muffins and caramel apple donuts to be specific. Oh it was good.
3. After my prenatal massage Jake took me to a fancy Italian restaurant in Roseville, Margarita pizza is one of my top five favorite foods. Next to donuts.
4. The fancy Italian restaurant gave me a free dessert.
5-8. The next day we took Maizey and a picnic to SF for a free concert at Golden Gate Park. Parking was horrific and we missed the first two groups because of it, but we ended up having a good time and The Goo Goo Dolls and OneRepublic were aweeeesome. Of course.
9-12. The Domans are in town and I talked them into going to the Jelly Belly Factory.
13. Making chowder for the sad USU vs BYU game... poor chuckie.
14. Went to SF with the besties and decided to get some crazy donuts for breakfast.
15. Lunch at Boudin. I want to kiss whomever invented bread bowls.
16. Conference Breakfast this morning was Baked Pumpkin French Toast with Caramel syrup. Sooo good.

Anybody notice I take way too many pictures of food? #pregnantproblems

Things are finally starting to get back to normal.
I miss my family like crazy but it's lovely to be home nesting with my husband.
Here's a little collection of photos from my trip!

1-3. Ten hours to Utah? No problem.
4. Note to self. Never plan anything when theres a BYU game. Husband turns into a boring zombie.
5. Onerepublic/ Sara Bareilles concert at Deer Valley. Lots of traffic and useless lines getting in but we had no problem getting out! Plus they both sounded incredible. I cried like a crazy pregnant person through Sara's performance. Especially when she came out singing this song... baby momma didn't stand a chance.
6. Back in Idaho after our fun weekend/baby shower in Utah. Maizey loves this place.
7. Watching Mckell kick Volleyball butt. She is so talented!
8. Eastern Idaho State Fair. Someday I will own a goat.
9. Carnival lights.
10. On our way out we witnessed a lady being wheeled out to the ambulance and a crazy tattooed man being forced into a cop car after a fight. He was sobbing like a baby!
11. Reed's Dairy "brown cow" vanilla ice cream with chocolate milk on top. Oh yes.
12. Peach Days! Uncle Tom's float.
13. Watching the parade with the Johnstons!
14. Sisters Mary jo and momma.
15. Baby Clark is the cutest.
16. Anniversary flowers from Jake. Four years!
17. Fresh BC peach pie. My favorite. We ate peaches at least three-four times a day.
18. Watching Kell at the Homecoming Parade.
19. Double rainbow at the fair! It rained all night.

It's been quite sometime since I've blogged. Mostly because this has been the most insane week of my lifeeeeee! Ugh, moving across the country can be exhausting. First there was the twenty-six hour drive in the twenty-six foot truck. That was crazy. Then we finally got here and things got real nuts. Like, we might kill each other if we have to spend one more night in a hotel nuts. So needless to say we have been in full blown house hunting mode.

Moving can be stressful enough, but moving while pregnant... it's exhausting! So by day four of "Operation: Home in Vacaville" my body and mind had been pushed way past my limit. Around four o'clock we sat in the Target parking lot with massive headaches and randomly found a listing that changed everything! I'm very excited to say we'll be moving into a house today. In case you're wondering, we decided to rent. With the market the way it is and the possibility of us only being here a couple of years, we thought I'd be best. We found a cute little cottage in Vacaville (right by all the shopping) that will fit our little family perfectly. The master is huge and it includes three walk in closets, a secret door into the nursery, and a bathtub so naturally I said, when can we move in? I'll put up pictures later this week:)

1-2. Packing up in Enid and ready to go!
3. Waking up to breakfast Texas style.
4. Truck boredom.
5. Teddy bear welcomed us in Vegas.
6. Oli and I shared some late night oreos.
7. A classy gas station pregnancy picture towards the end of our trip.
8. Our first stop at Travis AFB was the exchange, in which we bought
the largest computer ever. why....
9. Our second stop, In-and-Out for lunch. Have you tried their neapolitan shake? Mmm
10. Walking in China town
11. Our favorite kind of treats. Pastry heaven.
12. Big belly and big peaches on the bay.
13. Made it to the warf!
14. Fireworks in Ghiradelli Square!

Week one in Idaho was craaaazy. All four kids were able to be there for my mom's birthday which is always great. I spent most of my time trying to hide my pregnancy from my siblings and the public eye until Jake could come into town. When it was finally time for him to get here, tornadoes hit OKC. Luckily he stayed out of danger and the next morning he was able to fly out of there by the skin of his teeth. It was a miracle! We told my siblings the night he got there which resulted in a explosion of yelling and chaos. That's how we do things in my family. And after dodging curious ward members on Sunday we were able to tell my Dad and Nicole at dinner. After a gender reveal and some friend time, we were off to Draper to share the news with the Kearns family. Oh how I love surprising people. As terrifying as it is, I'm enjoying having the news out in the open. Keeping secrets is stressful stuff.

1. Naughty puppy on the flight home. Didn't sleep a wink.
2. Nothing is quite as cute as momma's house in the summertime.
3. Getting spoiled with Breakfast Sammys.

It's Summer in Altus!
Everything is getting brown and toasty.
That's Oklahoma for you.
After nannying a good fifty hours this last week
I have a whole new respect for the mothers of this world.
I'm exhausted.

As for Jake's training, I'm praying that by some miracle
he'll get done at the end of this month.
However, that pit in my stomach is telling me a different story.
Ohhh Air Force.

Oh hey...

It just me, Courtney.

My blogging has been pretty lame lately. Probably because I have nothing to blog about... Altus is very dull and most of my days are spent reading, watching TV, taking Maizey on walks around the base, and applying for jobs, but it's not looking good. Jake and I started the Lost series over again. I think that gives you an idea of how slow things are...

This week we are going to visit sunny San Fran, California to look at some houses! So that's exciting. After we spend time there, I'm stopping by Utah/Idaho to see the family for a few days. I never thought I'd be so excited to visit Idaho in March. Maybe it'll make me a little more grateful for what we have here :)

Any book recommendations?

1. Maizey and her new barking collar. It made her pee everywhere so we stopped using it.
2. I pride myself in professional egg scrambling.
3. Our puppy stalkers. They come by three to five times a day knocking on our door and peeking into our windows to see if Maizey's home. I love kids, but come on!
4. Click it or ticket Maize.
5. Our first time eating out in Altus. It was quite the experience. There was only one waitress in the entire restaurant and when I asked for a salad she said, "uhh, okay just don't be surprised if I don't have time to get it out to you." Hmmm...
6. These Jack Rabbits are all over the base golf course. We took Maizey on a walk there yesterday and she was in agony when we wouldn't let her chase them.
7. My "taking Jake to work" disguise. So attractive and slimming, let me assure you.
8. Bachelor finale! I wish Jake enjoyed it as much.

Greetings from Altus, Oklahoma.
We had an interesting time getting here...
Dallas was lovely. Full of sun and spring.
We left Sunday and after three hours of driving
in the middle of nowhere, we made it to our destination.
I didn't think it was possible to get smaller than Enid... but oh, it is.

We showed up to lodging where they informed us that
our reservation had been given away by mistake and there
were no other rooms to place us in.
Furious and sobbing, we left base and spent the night in a Best Western.
By some miracle they were able to put us back on base the next morning
where it was snowing sideways and freezing cold!
What's going on Oklahoma?

Anyway, we feel very blessed to have such great family that let us come visit
and the miracle that is us in a pet-friendly TLF. We didn't think we'd get one for a month.
I have hope that the next three months will be speedy
and warm! Spring come quick!
California come quicker!

So it happened.
We packed up all of our crap,
stuffed it in a storage unit,
and left.

It wasn't easy.
In fact... it was awful.
Oklahoma decided to embrace winter
and snowed. a lot.

But we made it.
We're recovering in Dallas for the weekend
and then off to Altus, OK until June!
It's an exciting time :)

1. Babysitting our kittens one last time :(
2. Death by the groomer.
Seriously, he fell asleep with Maizey on him
so I decided to cut her hair and Jake
didn't even notice!
3. While packing we found my Young Women's
time capsule.
It was full of random pictures, a mixtape, and notes
to the older Courtney.
4. Melissa's thank you gift, a Volcano candle.
She's a keeper.
5. Loading up the Jetta earlier today. There was nowhere
to sit. It was a long drive to Dallas...
6. Leaving base!
What a relief. I thought we'd never leave :)

It snowed like mad today, reminding me of home.

How are you all doing?
I'm well. really, I am.
I just figured we could all take
a break from my Hawaii pictures.
Because I know you are all crazy jealous
we got to go to such a paradisaical land.

The two weeks we've been home have
been wonderful. I'm really trying to embrace
every moment we have left here in Enid
with Jacob not working, because I hear
Altus is sooo boring.
So there's been a lot of jamming out
to this song. I like to do it while I'm eating
Melissa's leftover chocolate cake, which I was suppose
to give away to my neighbors, but little by little I
take away luscious pieces of soft cake and tell
myself to go to the gym tomorrow. I don't.

Also, I've been enthralled in Homeland.
I know, I know... but it's so good!
Kind of like that chocolate cake.

Hope you're all surviving the January blues!

As most of you know, we recently spent a week in paradise.
It was life changing, laugh until it hurts kind of fun
and I'm counting down the days until we vacation again with the Spencers.
We're home now after almost a month of vacation time
and things are changing fast.
