Brennecke Beach

And Hawaii is back.
We walked down to this small beach and
immediately noticed how big the waves were.
The boys grabbed their boogie boards and headed out.
I tried to do it once and got hammered. It was crazy!
So we recovered with some Puka Dogs and Guava Nectar.
Yum.

telegrams

How are you all doing?
I'm well. really, I am.
I just figured we could all take
a break from my Hawaii pictures.
Because I know you are all crazy jealous
we got to go to such a paradisaical land.

The two weeks we've been home have
been wonderful. I'm really trying to embrace
every moment we have left here in Enid
with Jacob not working, because I hear
Altus is sooo boring.
So there's been a lot of jamming out
to this song. I like to do it while I'm eating
Melissa's leftover chocolate cake, which I was suppose
to give away to my neighbors, but little by little I
take away luscious pieces of soft cake and tell
myself to go to the gym tomorrow. I don't.

Also, I've been enthralled in Homeland.
I know, I know... but it's so good!
Kind of like that chocolate cake.

Hope you're all surviving the January blues!

The North Shore

Getting sick of the Hawaii pictures yet? This was my favorite day of the trip.
The north shore of Kauai is absolutely stunning with it's amazing mountains and beaches.
After making a stop at Bubba's famous burgers
we spent the entire day snorkeling and riding the waves of Tunnels Beach.
There were so many colorful fish and creepy drop offs,
leaving plenty more space to explore in the years to come.
If you're wondering how we got such awesome underwater pictures,
it's all thanks to Taylor and his awesome GoPro

Hawaii, I miss you and your humidity...
it did wonders for my skin.

Waiohai

One week ago the sun was setting on our Hawaiian dream vacation.
(Like what I did there?)
If you ever need a place to go, choose Kauai.
There is so much to do and the beauty is absolutely unreal.
I'm very grateful to have so many memories there.
I don't I'll ever get sick of it!

Kapa'a Farmer's Market

I always look forward to the farmers market when I go to Hawaii,
I love testing all of the exotic fruits and sipping on fresh coconut.
We spotted this one on our way to Hanalei and I forced Jake to pull over.
I'm still having dreams about those golden pineapples...

"It's ille-gaul!"

Kauai has plenty of Monk Seals.
Usually they're roped off but the boys spotted this one
and we ran over to snap some pictures.
A crasian (crazy-asian) saw us off shore
and went completely mental.
Luckily Jake calmed him down before he called the cops.
He left us laughing the entire rest of the week.

telegrams

As most of you know, we recently spent a week in paradise.
It was life changing, laugh until it hurts kind of fun
and I'm counting down the days until we vacation again with the Spencers.
We're home now after almost a month of vacation time
and things are changing fast.
The fact that we're moving in a month is starting to excite and terrify me.
Good thing I have American Idol to keep me distracted.
(I can't stand Nicki Minaj!)

1. Our gorgeous view from the hotel. Right on the beach!
2. The birds gathering around Shauna-relli for a Cheerio breakfast.
3. The first of three Puka dog visits.
4. Hanging out with the Monk Seal. And it's alive.
5. The man I married.
6. Breathtaking Waimea.
7. Made it to the top!
8. Ancient Hawaiian ritual on a cliff.
9. Burgers on the North Shore.
10. The best sunset I've ever seen.
11. Tunnels Beach.
12. Snocapped shaved ice on Mac Nut ice cream.
13. Gangnam Style.
14. Tunnel of Trees.
15. Another for the road.
16. Dinner at Dukes.
17. Hula Pie.
18. The last supper.
