Rigby Lake

I'm slowly healing from a difficult and exhausting weekend.
We lost a member of our little family on Saturday.
I'm grateful for friends and family who have been so supportive.

Last week those friends and I went to Rigby Lake to soak up some rare sun.
It was one of the last things we did with Maizey. The kids loved watching her swim.
I'll write more about her later when things aren't quite so raw.
For now we'll reflect on the good moments we had with her.

This hasn't been the easy going summer I had pictured.
Each of us moms have had some big challenges.
Thankfully we have each other and Bachelor in Paradise.
Ice cream also helps :)

BFs in SF

Guys, I did it. I finally had an enjoyable day in San Francisco!

My two best friends flew in for a long weekend. They happened to get here at the exact same time my husband arrived from his sixteen day mission in hell, not to mention my baby was growing four teeth, so naturally things were a little crazy.

Our time included a viewing of The Fault in Our Stars, (read the book NOW) a trip to Panera and Trader Joes, (musts in California) swimming and fajitas.

To top off our weekend together we took the ferry to San Fran and strolled through an amazing Farmers Market, then we took the cable car to our hotel, shopped in Union Square, ate the perfect meal at The Cheesecake Factory on top of Macys, and souvenir shopped in Chinatown.

I am the luckiest girl for having such loyal and hilarious long time friends, I cannot thank them enough for the lovely visit. So excited to continue these girl trips with them!

Thunder Over Solano

We went to an air show yesterday.
We planned on going Saturday, but Jake got sent on a last minute trip.
Everything was going so perfectly well, the weather was breezy but beautiful and we
got fantastic parking spots. It wasn't too busy and we had our friends with us who had
never seen an air show before!

There was an hour to go before the Thunderbirds were up.
We had just returned to our seats after touring some planes.
Jake was taking pictures of a stunt plane doing tricks over head.
He had just sat down next to me when we heard the crowd gasp.
As we stood up, we saw the stunt plane sliding across the runway, upside down.
It all seemed surreal. I waited for the medics and firetrucks I was sure would be close by.
Minutes passed and the plane caught fire. Still I held on to the hope that the pilot would survive.
This was an air show. Surely they were prepared for this. He couldn't die.
The rest of the show was cancelled and we were sent home still pretty shocked.
The pilot Eddie died at the age of seventy-seven. He had preformed at more than nine-hundred air shows.

Although his passing was terrible, I'm glad he lived a long life doing what he loved.

The Moon Family

Let me start by saying I am NOT a professional.
Photography is a hobby for me and one I still know little about.
I told my friend Natalie I would love to take some photos of little Miss Kyla.
These are the three cutest sisters I've ever met! The older ones are just like the Frozen girls.
Thanks for the practice Moon family :)

Wine Country

I blogged. Watch out!
It's definitely been low on my priority list these days.
Now that I'm a mother, there's just never enough time in the day.

Last week, my mother and our friend Zola (also my high school choir teacher)
came to visit me here in No Cal! It was fantastic and too, too short.
We went to both Napa and Healdsburg and it was beeeautiful.
I can't believe how close we live to such amazing places!
I'll have to take Jake back for sure. Maybe after Graham stops hating the car seat.
Thanks for brightening my days and cleaning my microwave ladies.
Come back soon.

More blogging to come... hopefully.
Not making any promises :)
If you comment I might be more inclined. Just saying.

P.S. Is anyone out there watching The Good Wife? I AM DYING INSIDE.
