Happy, happy, happy.

Can't believe how much this little one has grown up in the last three months.

It's been absolutely amazing having my family back together.

Last Wednesday I was in the park near our house chatting with some neighbors when I got a call from Jake. Next thing I know he's walking up to me. Shock. I was indeed in shock. No idea he was anywhere close to coming home. And for the next few hours I thought I was hallucinating, because earlier that day I was so exhausted and done with this deployment that such things could happen. But it's been a few days and he's still here so I think I'm sane. Gosh I can't believe my luck. Or his sneakiness.

In conclusion, I am on top of the world and there are SO many great things ahead. Birthdays, Disneyland, Parties and Halloween! Happy, happy, happy.

Photos taken by Cole Maxfield Photography, she's a dear friend and a fantastic photographer!

Rigby Lake

I'm slowly healing from a difficult and exhausting weekend.
We lost a member of our little family on Saturday.
I'm grateful for friends and family who have been so supportive.

Last week those friends and I went to Rigby Lake to soak up some rare sun.
It was one of the last things we did with Maizey. The kids loved watching her swim.
I'll write more about her later when things aren't quite so raw.
For now we'll reflect on the good moments we had with her.

This hasn't been the easy going summer I had pictured.
Each of us moms have had some big challenges.
Thankfully we have each other and Bachelor in Paradise.
Ice cream also helps :)

Summer Nights

Family. Fires. Summer. Watermelon. Homemade Hamburgers. Nutella.

It's what dreams are made of.

This night honestly seems surreal... especially now that I'm husband-less and family-less. Sigh...

So glad that we could snag a blissful, damp, Idaho Falls evening with my family. My heart aches for them.

Eden

I just got back from Idaho where it was surprisingly warm (some of the time) and the trees were blooming.

Is there anything more lovely than blooming trees? Fluffy little popcorn blossoms that make the world smell fresh and clean?

My dear dear friend Nicole is turning into the most amazing little photographer.

She took some pictures of me in my favorite place on earth (my dad's backyard) and I couldn't be more grateful for her.

She made me feel pretty! You know how often that occurs since I constantly have throw up, urine, and baby food plastered all over my frizzy hair and undone face? Never.

Book her for your photo event!

telegrams

Things are finally starting to get back to normal.
I miss my family like crazy but it's lovely to be home nesting with my husband.
Here's a little collection of photos from my trip!

1-3. Ten hours to Utah? No problem.
4. Note to self. Never plan anything when theres a BYU game. Husband turns into a boring zombie.
5. Onerepublic/ Sara Bareilles concert at Deer Valley. Lots of traffic and useless lines getting in but we had no problem getting out! Plus they both sounded incredible. I cried like a crazy pregnant person through Sara's performance. Especially when she came out singing this song... baby momma didn't stand a chance.
6. Back in Idaho after our fun weekend/baby shower in Utah. Maizey loves this place.
7. Watching Mckell kick Volleyball butt. She is so talented!
8. Eastern Idaho State Fair. Someday I will own a goat.
9. Carnival lights.
10. On our way out we witnessed a lady being wheeled out to the ambulance and a crazy tattooed man being forced into a cop car after a fight. He was sobbing like a baby!
11. Reed's Dairy "brown cow" vanilla ice cream with chocolate milk on top. Oh yes.
12. Peach Days! Uncle Tom's float.
13. Watching the parade with the Johnstons!
14. Sisters Mary jo and momma.
15. Baby Clark is the cutest.
16. Anniversary flowers from Jake. Four years!
17. Fresh BC peach pie. My favorite. We ate peaches at least three-four times a day.
18. Watching Kell at the Homecoming Parade.
19. Double rainbow at the fair! It rained all night.

32 Weeks and a Baby Shower

I'm back in California! With lots of baby swag.
Over the weekend I had a dreamy baby shower with my family and friends.
My mom and I had been planning it for quite some time
and after some weather scares and baking flops, we pulled it off!

I decided to go with a fall theme, since its my favorite time of year...
We made mini peach pies, pumpkin bars, and chocolate cake!
The peach lemonade was my favorite, made with lemonade, peach nectar, and basil.

Thank you to everyone who came to support our new little family!
It's surreal to be this close to the end of my pregnancy...
I'm 32 weeks today and the fact that I could possibly be having this baby next month
is so crazy! We still have lots of preparing to do.

Baby is so big now, I can feel his little feet and head poking out both sides of my belly.
I'm rocking the belly support band like nobody's business. It's super sexy.
Sleeping has become extremely difficult, I usually lay awake aching for over an hour.
I know, I know, it's preparing me to be a mother. But is the heartburn necessary?

** I'm currently accepting any advice for these final weeks of pregnancy! Let me know if there are some products I NEED to have or any hospital or baby tips. Dish ladies.

Week one in Idaho was craaaazy. All four kids were able to be there for my mom's birthday which is always great. I spent most of my time trying to hide my pregnancy from my siblings and the public eye until Jake could come into town. When it was finally time for him to get here, tornadoes hit OKC. Luckily he stayed out of danger and the next morning he was able to fly out of there by the skin of his teeth. It was a miracle! We told my siblings the night he got there which resulted in a explosion of yelling and chaos. That's how we do things in my family. And after dodging curious ward members on Sunday we were able to tell my Dad and Nicole at dinner. After a gender reveal and some friend time, we were off to Draper to share the news with the Kearns family. Oh how I love surprising people. As terrifying as it is, I'm enjoying having the news out in the open. Keeping secrets is stressful stuff.

1. Naughty puppy on the flight home. Didn't sleep a wink.
2. Nothing is quite as cute as momma's house in the summertime.
3. Getting spoiled with Breakfast Sammys.
4. Mckell's choir concert.
5. Puppy snuggles.
6. Momma's birthday BBQ.
7. My dad's ice cream drawer. It's an addiction.
8. Twins in khaki.
9. Toasted Marshmallow Shakes.
(Don't forget a little vanilla)
10. Awaiting the gender check. Ohhh how I had to pee!
11. Mornings with Reagers.
12. Hide and Seek with Maize.
