Fashion Friday

Did you watch the CMAs last night?
I'm just loving Taylor's style lately.
She's growing up.
How about that awkward moment when Brad joked about her Kennedy boyfriend,
not knowing that they had just broken up? Yikes.

Emmys
Fashion Favorites from The Emmys:
Jane Levy Jessica Pare Heidi Klum
Leslie Mann Kerry Washington Ginnifer Goodwin
If I had to choose a favorite I definitely go with Ginnifer.
That dress is gorgeous.
I thought Jimmy did a fantastic job! Overall the show was fantastic.
So excited for all of the fall premieres...
Go get you some Netflix and catch up before they start!

jet lag
exhausted.
like barely able to get out of bed exhausted.
then I remembered my computer and dvr patiently waiting for me
so I mustered up some spare energy.
every time I come back here it feels like some sort of strange deja vu.
but I'm enjoying the alone time and seventy degree weather.
today calls for lots of vitamin D, piano playing, and Christmas take down!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday... mine consisted of some of this.
H&M and White Chocolate Raspberry Bread Pudding... oh yes.
Tonight I will be recovering with a little Vampire Di and a Strawberry Daiquiri. Ohhh ya. Naughty boy Jeremy is back ya'll!
the view from my sunset flight and the surprise that was waiting for me when I got home!

remodel
do you like the new look?
it took me way too long to do it.
the republican debate makes me irritated. all politics make me irritated.
I'd choose to be attacked by twelve walkers before I'd choose to watch the debate.
Okay, that's a little melodramatic... but check out their makeup. Holy Moly.
SOO i choose to makeover my blog :) and make jewish apple cake. yuuum.
romney's voice is super low. he'd be a good bass.
I'm doing this tomorrow. So cool.

blood orphans
Well after spending roughly ten hours in the airport Jake and I FINALLY
made it back in good ol Oklahoma. Needless to say we're quite exhausted.
Disneyland can be rather harsh on the body and air travel... even more so.
This morning I woke up feeling ten seconds from death.
Maizey did not.
Highlights from Disneyland.
1. Halloween decor at DL.
2. Babies with smiley eyes and monkey arms.
3. Perfect 80 degree weather.
4. Tower of Terror with my sisters.
5. Being called Aunt Cocomo.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll regain my energy. And my motivation.
And maybe I'll only watch one episode of Parks and Rec instead of five.
(April and Andy are our ideal couple bff's.)

tomorrowland
When goodbyes and packing are too much to bear... watch Mad Men.
Because Donald Draper will make you forget all of your worries and all of your stress
as he invites you into his world of thoughtless infatuation and stylish living.

goodbye twenty-two
a lovely autumn morning spent walking the pups and sipping pumpkin spice white hot chocolate.
Ally and I spent the evening watching Vamp Di.
I'm determined to hook her on it.
How could you not love it with costumes like this...
and this...
I think I've turned another one folks.
Tomorrow is my birthday and stuff...
I celebrated a little early with a bavarian cream empanada
and a pedi with olive green OPI.
I also listened to this, just pondering the last year.
twenty-two was a good one.
In fact, I don't think anyone can top last year's birthday,
especially when it's a husband-less one.
But twenty-three sounds like a good age.
Mature.. but young.
Wish my husband was here. Lame.
Oh well, I guess Damon and Stephen will have to do.

tragedy
Jake and I spent our weekend watching The Kennedys on Netflix.
It is a very interesting show. We are learning a lot about this crazy couple.
(assuming everything about this show is based on truth..)
Things like:
Bobby Kennedy should have been President.
John Kennedy was not the great husband I thought he was. Poor Jackie.
His parents were nuts.
After watching this American tragedy unfold, we turned on the TV and watched another.
I was really young and naive when 9/11 happened. I hardly understood the magnitude of the attack. Watching all the coverage last night was almost like watching it for the first time. It's just as shocking.
It breaks my heart that so many families were destroyed because of such evil.
On a lighter note... I fly home in a week!
Jake starts IFS (Flight Screening) on the 21st and I'm going back home to spend those few weeks with my family and friends. I know I haven't been away for long but I am so, soo excited.

Yuup!
Another week in Enid is half way over... it's been a pretty productive one!
Jake and I are having fun playing house. We're spending lots of time trying to tend our yard
because it hasn't had any sort of attention in years. The poor thing is so dead and patchy.
In other news...

I decorated the door today with a little craft from pinterest
Jake and I watched lots of Storage Wars on A&E.
You should definitely Tivo it. Barry is my favorite, of course.
and we stopped by the thrift store today and bought a sewing desk.
I have big plans for this little beauty!
I'm just trying to decide on the color I want to paint it...

Temptation
Arthur, Arthur, Arthur... you sad sad pathetic man. Why did you eat 35 chocolates and stab your team in the back?
Jake and I love Biggest Loser, we also love eating Taco Tuesday while watching it... which is ironic. And I assure you, it will catch up with us. Jake and Courtney, Biggest Loser 2025. Team Voldemort (Jake's priceless input when I asked him what color we will be) Anyways... if you don't watch this, you should definitely get into it. It's one of the only reality shows with redeeming values. And there are a lot of locals on it this season, like Deni from Bountiful, Moses from Shelly, and Rulon Gardner. Woot Woot!

Television... my biggest weakness.
Ever since Jake and I got Directv, we've been slightly addicted to watching television. Okay, it's all we do. And I can't help but be ecstatic for all the premieres next week! Here's some shows I'm obsessed with. What do you like to watch?
1. Modern Family. (love me some Phil Dunphy)
2. Castle
3. Gleeeeee
4. Grey's Anatomy (I'm a devote fan. Even though the finale nearly killed me.)
5. Biggest Loser
6. Community. (I'm a sucker for Abed)
7. The Office
8. Project Runway... obvi.
9. Medium
10. Dancing with the Stars (I had a childhood crush on Michael Bolton, so needless to say, I'm excited)
