Dreamy Dreamy Disney

I was born with Disney in my blood.
So imagine my excitement when I got to bring my baby!
It's true, he didn't really appreciate it that much, but it was so much fun seeing his face
the first time he saw Mickey or the madness that is Small World. Complete wonder and awe.
It was worth every crazy, exhausting moment.

Disney does magic like no one else.
Add eleven cousins and ten adults and you have one heck of a party.
We mastered the fast pass and rider swap system.
So thankful for the Kearns family!

Graham's favorite ride: Small World and Haunted Mansion (Nightmare style)
Mom's Favorite Ride: Tower of Terror and Soaring Over California
Dad's Favorite ride: Toy Story and Screamin

L'anniversaire de Jacob

Lemme tell you something.

The Kearns know how to party.

Jake deploys in almost a week so I wanted to make his birthday extra special. I decided to go French themed (he served his LDS mission in France). We served lemon rosemary chicken, pasta, salad, baguettes, cheese and grapes, and his darling cousins brought their "vooth booth" (a slow motion video booth) which caused some big laughs and a baby announcement. It was a fantastic night, we're glad we got to spend it with our family!

Redwoods

Nana and Papa Kearns came this week. (I can call them that now that I'm a momma).
We decided to venture up to Muir Woods, something we've been wanting to do for a while.
It was beautiful and so cold. We bundled G up in lots of blankets and he slept the whole time.
(Gotta love the ERGObaby Carrier.)
Although I miss the snow a little tiny bit, it was nice to be out in the cold crisp woods without getting soaking wet. I don't miss that part.

Now the house is quiet, I've been left all alone again. Poor me :)
I have big plans for Christmas crafting and baking, book reading, money budgeting and house cleaning.
Lets just hope fussy fussy baby boy lets me.

Leave your address below if you want a Christmas card/birth announcement!

I'll meet you in Utah.

My trip home has been lovely so far.
Jake was able to fly into Utah Saturday for his first cross country flight.
We were incredibly lucky to have been there at the same time.
I was able to shop at the new City Creek with my bestie and
attend Alexa's wedding at Red Butte Gardens.
We spent some time with the Kearns playing games
and eating sweet pork burritos.
It was a short, jam-packed visit, but so much fun!
I miss our days in Utah very much...   sigh.

This is Halloween

I looveee Halloween. So it's been a rather blog free week, I guess I didn't feel like I had much to blog about. Or maybe I was too lazy...? Anyway, we went to Draper this weekend for Fall Break. Gotta love having a day off of school. We had a blast shopping at Target, going out to eat, peeing our pants at the haunted forest and planning/executing the most fabulous Kearns Family Halloween Party. We had plenty of soup, appetizers, homemade donuts, and the most delicious caramel apple bar! Brinley, our two year old cousin, had a blast carving her very first pumpkin, and trying on all the many colors of vampire teeth. I would say it was a very successful party. Props to Baby Kearns for the awesome decor, and all my shishters (no "l") for the fun fun day.
