Leaving Home

Yesterday we left our home..! After an exhausting 8 hours of driving, Jake and I have made it to Denver, Colorado. Now it's on to Wichita, Kansas... oh boy. I'm sensing today's drive will be a long and flat one.

Moving. Part One.

Moving Day is here.
Our apartment is naked. Well almost naked.
Now we just wait while the men and women with boxes and tape
  pack up our humble apartment.
Is this really happening?
Oklahoma? Us? Hah, that's just silly.

Top Ten moments of our Utah summer:

1. Finishing College. Duh.
2. Carrying out Al's baby shower
3. Lauren's surprise visit/ Memorial Day
4. Colorado Reunion!
5. Reagan Doman
6.  Camping with the Spencers
7. Swimming at Kearnsy's
8. Fourth of July
9. Lava with Domans
10. Planking, Window Screeching, and lots of late nights.

I cannot believe how quickly the summer has flown by. We've been so blessed to spend this summer with family and friends. Best summer ever! Now it's time to move on and grow up. I will miss living in Logan SOO much, but I know Oklahoma will be an exciting chapter of our life together. Wish us luck!

Ulcers and Shingles

This weekend was Craaazy busy. It started off at Firehouse, my fav Logan restaurant, for once last Barbecue Chicken Pizza. That led us to the hospital the next day to find out that I have an ulcer. Big Surprise. Then we headed to IF for our last visit, which led me to my favorite bath tub in the world.
I mean seriously. Doesn't that look heavenly?
Then Momma cut off all of Jakey's long hair... but don't worry, he kept the beard.

Then we went to Brigham for the day where we had delicious Maddox rolls and handsome Morrison men.
We went swimming and showed off our diving skills.
 And noodle riding...
And that golfer's tan...
Ya, we had a lot of fun.

Finally, it was back to IF for Reg a Peg's baby blessing. She was adorable in her vintage inspired gown and handmade flower headband. Most importantly, the Trifecta was able to reunite for another chapter in our rapidly changing lives.

Lagooooon is not complete without Dippin Dots, wet butts, water parks, train rides and upside down coasters. We'll miss you!

Theatricality

We had one last Theatre get together before Amanda and I part ways (she's going to design in Winconsin!) It was great seeing all of my friends from school, I still can't believe that I'm not going back this fall. I will deeply miss the USU Theatre Dept and I'm grateful for all the experiences I had there!

gigga-gig-giggagiggagigga

We had our last summer visit to Draper Town this weekend. Much time was spent at the pool playing with crazy fun red balls, sitting in the Draper library parking lot, watching Scaretactics, and playing with the Loopy app. For more fun pictures, go blog stalk the girl who's name I stole.

Do not pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living, and, above all, those who live without love.

Alright, so I'm no HP Superfan... but the final movie was epic. I know you've seen that about five thousand times on facey but I thought I'd tell you myself. I was completely satisfied with the entire film.

Waiting

Brigham City's temple is no longer angel-less
As the days inch closer and closer towards our departure, the bigger that knot in my stomach grows. Excitement is turning into anxiety! There's a constant ticking of clock sounding our limited time here at home, it feels like the old Jake and Courtney are dying and the boring, lame, and responsible Jake and Courtney will soon take their place. Friendless. Alone. I know that it will be an amazing adventure for Jake and I but I can't help but feel terrified that we won't have anywhere to live and nothing to do (at least I wont). 4 WEEKS on the housing list and all we've done is go BACK two spots. We have been having such an amazing summer with family and friends, it's so hard to imagine leaving it all behind for a hotel room and a base full of strangers! Hopefully I can just calm down and let things happen as they should. I know Heavenly Father has a plan for us, I just need to let it happen without trying to control every minute of it. It will be fine.

Jake and I are going camping tonight with our besties Ally and Isaac. We've been dying for a Lava trip with them and it looks like it will work out after all! The only difference is we've never been camping with a newborn baby. Reagan... you're a tough baby girl, tonight I need you to show us that you can brave the outdoors with style.

Sandwiches

If you know me at all, you know that I am a sandwich-phobic. It's strange, I know... and slightly childish. I blame it on my mother. I guess she just gave up fighting me to eat things after the broccoli incident of 97. After that, it was melted cheese only at Subway for years and years. Well last month I had the sudden urge to try Jake's sandwich and weirdly... I enjoyed it. Which leads us to yesterday, where I suddenly craved Subway after the gym. So we went and I ordered an actual sandwich. With Turkey, Ham, Onions, Lettuce, Olives... it was nuts. I ate it all. And liked it. I guess I'm a big girl now...

We also tried out the Logan Aquatic Center for the first time yesterday. It was so much fun, if you haven't been, do it soon! It's five dollars and it's open until 8 pm on Mondays. LOVE.

The Skinny

I've been trying to get into Greek yogurt for a while. Honey... Strawberry... Vanilla...
This one is the best. Blueberry all the way. The Vanilla is pretty good too, with some cereal in it. Try it today, because it's good for you.
Another girly Brit for you to watch... I love her style.  Her song Mr. Medicine is pretty catchy as well!

Birdy

I'm in awe... oh, did I mention she's fifteen? It's like A Fine Frenzy and Adele had a lesbian love child.

spoodle

Alright... puppy time is nearing. This is our latest pick.

Introducing the Cockapoo or Spoodle

We be so escited.

Pool Time

Canda and I took Tuck-Tuck to the pool for a little splash time
Ohh he was so cute with his big cheeks and his floppy hat! I'm going to miss little TnT.

Jake and I had our last Crystal Hot Springs visit last night... How I'll miss their overpriced slide use and white trash occupied pools :)

Sunlit Serenity

I love, love, love Ruche boutique...
it's like Anthropologie, but much more affordable.
I want this necklace so badly...
And their lookbooks..? Breathtaking.

Hogwarts With Cream

Nothing like a Sno Shack date with the Domans to finish off a lovely weekend in if town...
Al and I had our traditional Black Raspberry and Hogwarts with a little cream in it, of course...
and the crowning moment was when a little Chiuaua came up to Reg's car seat and "marked his territory" all over the side...she was not amused.

Independence

A Classic Fourth of July is...
A small town parade complete with hundreds of cheerleaders, crazy clowns, cheesy floats and tootsie rolls...
A barbecue with roasted corn on the cob, grilled chicken, illegal fireworks, and fruit triffle...
A big time firework show complete with Pronto Pups, Twizzlers and Kettle Corn.
Hope you had a fantastic Fourth!
