The Twilight Zone
Back in the throws of classes after a fun weekend celebrating Amy's birthday... Today was interesting, the second picture is of my fellow classmate getting the handcuffs I put on her for a presentation plied off by a kind gentlemen. I think that says it all.

Tired

Well the first week is almost over... a lot of stress and frustration have gone into it. Whether it's paying 2,000 dollars for a couple of extra credits, missing my faraway sister, or having Jake pretty much fired because he can't work lunches this semester, we've seen it all. I know that somehow it will get all figured out but with the migraines and cold weather, I struggle to find the positive. I'm grateful for the Lord and his ability to help me find joy in the small things. I am however excited for my trip to Beaver tomorrow... and I think I have found a fantastic herbal medicine that helps with the arthritis and headaches. Anyone heard of Valerian? I hope it's a keeper.

The end...
Oh boy, the break is over. I wish I could say things will be slowing down now, but they're most definitely not. I got an email a few days ago and received a notice that the OWN network is looking for some personal assistants for an episode of "Carson-Nation" (a makeover show hosted by Carson Kressley). I called the production manager and long story short, I got the job. I will be a wardrobe assistant for Carson-Nation next weekend in Beaver, UT! I'm really excited/nervous. I'll definitely take lots of pictures and blog about my experience.
Now on to school.... I'm trying to keep the anxiety spasms to a minimum. This is my last semester and I just need to relax and enjoy it. Right? We've cleaned the house, stocked up on notebooks and groceries and I think we're ready to rumble. Here are my classes this semester:
Textile Science
Period Pattern Drafting
Scenic Design
Design Studies
Shakespeare (kill me)
Practicum/Run Crew
Assist. Design for The Three Musketeers
Don't forget the hundred + hours in the shop :)
Whew. That actually makes me feel better. Anyone know a good Shakespeare tutor in Logan? 55 days till Spring Break!

Carousel from Hell

Sooo this is what happens at the end of a horrific week of school... Courtney gets too lazy to change into her paint clothes, which was working just fine until she went to put her project away and bumped a can of green paint which spilt all over her nice jeans and new shoes. Lovely. On the up side, I had a lot of fun running Midsummers, It was a really good show! Pretty excited for things to go back to normal though. I cannot tell you how excited I am to get this week over with. I just want to go Christmas shopping, bake goodies for my neighbors, and sleep in!

Senioritis
Soo this week I've been stressed to the max. It's not like anything real big happened, I just started thinking about the 23 credits I'm taking next semester and the research paper/test I have coming up and just sort of... crashed. Like had a nervous breakdown. Couldn't get off the couch. Wanted to drop out. I thought to myself... What if I never use this major? What's the point? I just want to be done. I can't handle this. That sort of thing. So I cuddled and cried with Jake for a bit, and came to this conclusion. Court. This is a huge opportunity you've had here. How many people get to go to college in such a fantastic place, take awesome classes like hat making and pattern drafting, pay nothing for it, and actually graduate? You have to finish these four years of hard work and hell. No matter what it takes.
Therefore, tonight I am grateful for school. Stupid stupid school. Thank you for pushing me to my limits. Oh, and by the way, I am going to conquer you. I don't care if you make me cry and scream everyday. I don't care that I will live and breathe design projects after projects, and have no life whatsoever. I will sleep at the school if I have to. But I am going to graduate. Watch me.
