So it happened. 

We packed up all of our crap,

stuffed it in a storage unit, 

and left. 

It wasn't easy. 

In fact... it was awful. 

Oklahoma decided to embrace winter

and snowed. a lot. 

But we made it.

We're recovering in Dallas for the weekend

and then off to Altus, OK until June!

It's an exciting time :)

1. Babysitting our kittens one last time :(

2. Death by the groomer.

 Seriously, he fell asleep with Maizey on him

so I decided to cut her hair and Jake

didn't even notice!

3. While packing we found my Young Women's 

time capsule. 

It was full of random pictures, a mixtape, and notes

to the older Courtney.

4. Melissa's thank you gift, a Volcano candle. 

She's a keeper. 

5. Loading up the Jetta earlier today. There was nowhere

to sit. It was a long drive to Dallas...

6. Leaving base! 

What a relief. I thought we'd never leave :)

Oscar Night

The Oscars are this weekend. Yes! 

This year won't be quite as exciting seeing that we'll be in a hotel room

with no friends, DVR or fake Oscar ballots. Sigh... 

but Kiki-Leeky had a fab idea, and I'm copying it pronto. 

What I'd wear to the Oscars. 

(Best Costume Design, anyone?)

It's a toss up between this soft blue Jenny Packham dress and this peachy Elie Saab number.

(Lets be honest. I'd probably want to design my own dress. In a perfect world.)

With either dress I would choose a very slicked back and fresh faced approach to hair and make up.

Afterwards my husband and I would party hop with our best friends Emily Blunt and John Krasinski

and dance until dawn. A girl can dream right?

Bonus Day

Flying standby to Hawaii... big mistake. 

However, it gave us an extra day in paradise

and first class tickets together on the second flight! 

So it worked out and I was definitely grateful for that bonus day.

Puppy Love

Happy Sabbath :)

We're trying to embrace this random Spring weather 

and our last Sunday in this house.

In between all of the packing and cleaning 

I managed to give Maize a new hair cut and she begged me 

to take some photos with her so she could show it off. 

She just loves attention...

Rainy Sunday

It's been a month since we've left Hawaii

and I still have pictures coming.
Which is good because I don't have much else to blog about...

We got oh so lucky with the weather while we were there,

until our last day, which was wet and really boring. 

I would do almost anything to relive it now, of course :)

Looks like we've lost our favorite fated friends.

 Charlton and Melissa left us for the southern border today

and my heart broke a little when we drove away. 

I'll miss those quick trips to the city and the late nights watching The Following. 

Hopefully one day in a few years we'll be together again...

Military, can you arrange this please?

Well time is moving as slow as ever...

We've started packing up the house little by little, it's sad but exciting.

It snowed like mad today, reminding me of home.

Sunny California come quick!

Tapas

Yes, I still have Hawaii pictures to post. 

 It's ridiculous, I know. Bear with me!

 Have you ever ran out on a restaurant because it was far too fancy for you?

Well that's what happened this night. 

The first restaurant only had "tapas" which is a fancy word

for an overpriced appetizer.

So we ran and grabbed some fancy burgers and pizza across the street.

Jake still has dreams about the truffle fries and hamburger with pork and egg. 

That's fancy enough for me :)

Sports and Stuff

Last week I watched the Super Bowl and a Thunder Game. 

That's a big deal. 

But it was all worth it to see Destiny's Child together again. 

We're glad to have met such great people here 

that want to do fun things with us!

We're going to miss every one of them. 

12 days until we leave... whhhaat?
